Due to its large surface area, a windbreak is not suitable as a garden fence and must not be left completely unprotected outdoors. The wind can develop very high forces here - especially when gusts of wind are coming up. If you intend to do this, you can fasten the screen with a storm anchor. The storm anchor is driven into the ground below the surface and aligned. Due to the construction, a stable triangle is created, which secures the privacy fence well in stronger winds - however, this will not be able to help against gale-force winds.
