With the mobile charging cables Mode 2, also known as emergency charging cables, an electric or hybrid vehicle can be charged at any standard household socket (with protective contact) or CEE socket, in case no fixed charging station is available. The control unit (IC-CPD) takes care of all safety-related functions, such as temperature management and automatic reduction of charging current in case of overheating.
