The MEG2335-0460 surge protection extension set from Merten is an innovative solution for safeguarding electrical devices. It is designed to be connected to QuickFlex sockets and offers integrated enhanced touch protection in accordance with VDE 0620 Part 1. This module not only protects directly connected devices from voltage spikes but also secures sockets within a radius of up to 5 meters on the same circuit. The optical and acoustic fault indication ensures that users are immediately informed of a surge, as the green control LED goes out and an audible signal sounds. The product meets the requirements of the surge protective device (SPD) according to EN61643-11 Type 3, thus providing a high standard of protection for electrical installations.
