Mil-Tec Lightstick (Orange) - The glow stick is a unique light source that requires no batteries or fire. It is very lightweight and efficient. Glow sticks can be used to mark your position during a night hike, to illuminate the surrounding area, as an alarm signal, or as an emergency light source.

To activate the glow, bend the stick with the thumbs of both hands until the inner vial breaks, then shake it. It consists of a combination of chemicals that produce light of a specific color through the phenomenon of luminescence. This phenomenon is unique in that no heat is generated throughout the process.

The luminescence process in chemical glow sticks can be slowed down by placing a glow stick in the freezer. This way, the glow stick should last for two nights, although it will be less bright.
