Product details
Rubus fruticosus 'Thornfree' is a thornless blackberry that produces a lot of fruit. This blackberry yields delicious, sweet fruits that are perfect for making jam or blackberry juice. The Thornfree variety is self-pollinating. The blackberry blooms from late April to early June with striking and wonderfully fragrant white-pink flowers that attract bees and bumblebees. The blackberries can be harvested from July to September. The plant is winter hardy.
Care
Rubus fruticosus 'Thornfree' needs to be regularly pruned. This can be done in both spring and autumn. After harvesting, the branches that bore the fruit can be completely cut back. The blackberry prefers a humus-rich, slightly acidic soil and thrives in a sunny location, but it also does well in partial shade.
Size
Upon delivery, the plants have a height of 50-60 cm, measured including the cultivation pot. The plants are supplied in a cultivation pot with a diameter of 15 cm.
