Product details
Rubus Tayberry, a cross between blackberry and raspberry, produces large, deliciously sweet and aromatic fruits that can grow up to 5 cm long. It is a slightly thorny plant that forms long shoots, making it suitable for trellis training. The large, deep red fruits are twice the size of raspberries and have a sweet-tart flavor. The tayberry can be eaten fresh but can also be processed into delicious jam, juice, or wine.
Care
The tayberry grows well in full sun but also in partial shade. Rubus Tayberry prefers a moist, humus-rich soil. Prune the garden plant in the fall to enjoy plenty of berries and blackberries the following spring. Rubus 'Tayberry' is a deciduous garden plant that produces beautiful white flowers around May, attracting many bees and bumblebees.
