To replace the battery in your Water Computer, you must remove the front panel. Make sure that the positive side of the battery matches the corresponding marking on the device. Use a 9-volt alkaline manganese battery (type IEC 6LR61). Replace the battery when the battery symbol flashes to prevent failure due to a low battery.

It would fit, yes. If you want it between the tap and the computer, be wary. I found in the past that some computers didn't react well to having that arrangement, and I could only get it to work with a metal two way valve. Maybe was just something about my set up.
If you have it below the computer - between it and hte rest of your system, there shouldn't be any problem at all.

Yes, the delivered irrigation controllers have been equipped with the latest software version since calendar week 11/ 2022 and are therefore compatible with the sensor Art.1867-20.

If it is larger pots, e.g. the "Gardena MDS Start-Set Plant Pots". It certainly needs the pressure reducer and for pots the "drippers". The watering computer is like a timer.

In our system these two items have a different manufacturer's number, but on checking further I found product pages on the manufacturer's website for both manufacturer's numbers. It appears to be the UK and international version of the same item (probably the only difference is the language of the manual or the language of the box).
So I would say they are the same items but for different markets.

Unfortunately, no. The display is actually the control unit for the whole thing. The battery is also inside. The only security is that if the display is stolen, the water will not run indefinitely because it is blocked.
However, I don't think anyone would steal just a display because that alone is useless. The best thing is to steal the whole thing and it takes the thief a few minutes to do this because the screw connection is relatively tight and cannot be removed from the tap very quickly. I hope that helps. I am very satisfied so far (this is my second summer) and it saves me a lot of water.
I didn't buy it until summer 2019, so I can't say much about it, except that the batteries haven't run out yet.
