Gardena AquaBloom Set
Drip irrigation set
I have equipped the south-west side of my balcony with the system. Large pots for oleander & co need several nozzles, in my case up to five nozzles to be sufficiently supplied even in midsummer. I had to order additional nozzles through Gardena Austria. I will buy a second pump for the west side of my balcony to keep my sun-sensitive herbs alive when I am out and about. The water consumption should not be underestimated. The maximum watering capacity with 20 nozzles is 3,320 litres and that twice a day. Each additional nozzle requires 0.166 litres when watering for 20 minutes every 12 hours. So if you want to water for a week or more, you need a rain barrel. The ideal amount of water per plant can only be determined by trial and error. Once set, the system runs perfectly and is also much more economical than watering daily at your discretion.
What interests me: has anyone tried connecting the nozzles to the hose leading to the pump? In theory, this should work and would be ideal in my case to save some hose.
All in all, the usual Gardena quality and much more than just a gadget!

Ingenious system! Unfortunately, the hose is a bit stiff.

I didn't order the Aquabloom from Galaxus, but maybe the review will help others.
- According to the manufacturer, the set is designed for up to 20 plants and cannot be expanded. Since I had ordered 2 pieces (many plants :) ) and the one skin module no longer worked after just one week, I hung 38 drippers on a pump until the replacement delivery (2 weeks). This worked perfectly, as long as the hose did not have to overcome large differences in height. The same amount of water came out of the 38 drippers as with 20. I don't know if this would be good for the pump in the long term.
- There is enough hose material (can also be bought separately), but it is very inflexible, which is probably necessary to maintain the pressure.
- The drip rate cannot be changed on the drippers (0.5l/h) - it is therefore worth installing 2-3 drippers for thirsty plants.
- The pump is relatively quiet. A slight humming noise can be heard, but this is not really disturbing.
- It is important that the water tank is always filled with enough water, otherwise the pump simply pumps air (no water sensor available).
- There are no replacement drippers to buy (so far?). However, there are other drippers from Gardena that might work....

Runs quite decently even in cloudy weather. Difficult to find correct setting as the tiny instructions (otherwise adequate in themselves) are extra weak in this area.
