Excellent quality, functionality and price ratio.

I use this product in my electrical panel. It is interfaced with my Jeedom installation by the natively supported MQTT protocol (no need to flash the product) I display all my values and history with a home widget for energy monitoring of my home.
The only drawback I see to the product is the Wifi communication, I had to install an additional AP to ensure a sufficient Wifi signal (Shelly in the basement in a metal electrical panel so the range is poor).

This product does what I want for 5 times less than competing devices.

Annoying set-up when used without the cloud

If you want to share your data with the world, you can get a functioning solution for the cloud. However, every device in the cloud is fundamentally a potential security risk and, in terms of data protection, no one should have insight into the four walls.

Fortunately, the device can also be operated without the cloud. There is also a Tasmota image. I use it via MQTT + NodeRed.
Settings are often not set in the original firmware. Auth was partially reset again and again and an open wifi was spanned. NTP Cannot be set via GUI with the current firmware. In an isolated Wifi without Internet (who wants IoT to talk to the Internet?), this requires manual intervention.

Shelly 3EM is the only device that has problems with OpenWRT on my Linksys wrt3200acm. I have over 30 IoT devices here in various isolated networks and the Shelly doesn't want to get an IP or can't be addressed even with a fixed IP. That's why it now has its own WiFi on another router and has to be routed through accordingly.

Before flashing with Tasmota, be sure to load the calibration from the device!

99% of users won't care about the cloud anyway and will probably never notice the disadvantages.

    Unit soldered together incorrectly

Idea good, execution questionable: The connections (white blocks with yellow adhesive tape) were soldered to the board in a twisted way ex works. Such mistakes should not happen for products with several phases.
