The Indigo acoustic glass breakage detector is used to protect rooms with a large number of glazed units. It is designed to detect glass breakage of standard glass, toughened safety glass, and laminated glass.

The glass breakage detector analyzes the acoustic signal twice; first in relation to the impact sound (low frequency), and then to the glass breakage sound (high frequency). The alarm is only signaled once both signals have been detected. This makes it possible to eliminate the signaling of non-hazardous events, such as impact on glass caused by branches moved by the wind. The detector is equipped with adjustable detection sensitivity, tamper contact, and voltage monitoring. • The detector's microphone should be directed towards the monitored glass surface, so the best place to install the detector is on the wall opposite the monitored glass surface.
• The distance of the detector from the monitored glass surface must not exceed a range of 6 meters.
• There must be no objects between the glass breakage detector and the monitored glass surface.
• Room acoustics influence the range of the detector. Curtains, soft furniture covers, sound-absorbing building panels, etc. reduce the range.
• Do not install the detector on the same wall as the monitored glass surface.
