They not only improve water quality but also balance the peaks and troughs in the ammonia/nitrite cycle. When added to the system monthly, the Pure Balls ensure consistently clear water. The Gel Balls are biodegradable.
The black Pure Pond Balls are placed directly in the filter. Whether in multi-chamber filters, between foam cartridges/pads, or in pressure filters, excellent results are achieved with Pure Pond in all variations.
