High-Performance Pond Pump

New generation of pond pumps with a high water flow rate, suitable for skimmers without an internal pond pump.

You will receive a pond skimmer pump / stream pump with a pond pump performance of 4000 l/h at 65 watts.

Skimmer connection / stream pond pump / filter pump:
An important note: The additional suction connection cannot be used simultaneously with the suction through the filter housing. To prevent overflow of the pond filter in conjunction with these powerful pond pumps, we recommend using a Y-adapter. When the pump is used as a bypass, it can additionally supply a stream or the performance can be divided among another UVC pond clarifier or pond filter.

The flow rate of the pond pump must be matched to the size of the pond filter. An excessively high flow rate of the pond pump can lead to overflow of the pond filter, which should be avoided. The circulation cycle of the pond and the residence time of the pond water in the pond filter should also be considered.

Depending on the use, the optimal circulation cycle depends on various factors: fish stock, aquatic plants, sunlight, and desired water clarity. Of course, other components of the filtration circuit may need to be coordinated as well.

The following guidelines apply:
Koi pond / fish pond:
• 1 cycle every 3 hours
• 2 circulations in 1 hour (without planting and with high fish stock)

Garden pond / plant pond:
In a pond without fish stock, less circulation is necessary. Here, a daily circulation can be taken as a guideline to enrich the pond water with oxygen and keep the water moving.

Swimming pond:
Here, the circulation cycle strongly depends on the planting and personal requirements. The upper limit is set at 1 cycle every 2–3 hours, while the lower limit is "no circulation.".
