The pump control SKD-1 automatically starts and stops the water pump depending on the opening and closing of the consumer. This guarantees constant pressure in the domestic water supply; in case of water shortage, a dry run protection is activated, and the pump stops. The pump control eliminates the effects of pressure surges.

The pump control SKD-1A consists of a hydraulic and a replaceable electronic part:

The hydraulic part includes:
• a shut-off valve
• a valve responsive to flow changes
• a molded and reinforced plastic body
• a membrane and spring responsive to pressure changes
• a safety valve to prevent water leakage in case of membrane damage

The electronic part includes:
• a sealed housing made of self-extinguishing, molded plastic
• a single, tested and certified electronic board with insulated circuit paths
• a relay with a switching capacity of approximately 100,000 cycles under uninterrupted operation with a maximum load of 1.1 kW
• a varistor for surge protection

If your pump has a power rating greater than 1.1 kW, you should use a commercially available contactor or an appropriate power relay. A 380-V contactor can also control 380/400-V three-phase pumps.
