A high-quality PTO shaft is an essential element in agriculture, as it transmits the tractor's power to various agricultural implements.

The specified PTO shaft performance data in kW (HP) and Nm refer to an average service life of around 1000 hours, taking into account the required lubrication intervals. The specified performance data is valid for a deflection angle of 5° for standard joints. It is therefore better to select a larger PTO shaft than required, but never a smaller one.

How do I find the right PTO shaft? These factors should be taken into account when making your selection to ensure that it meets the requirements of your specific application:

• Power in kilowatts
• Speed in revolutions per minute - should match the speed of the attachment (typically 540 rpm and 1000 rpm). Note: The power depends on the speed.
• Yoke type - The yoke (clevis) is the part of the PTO that connects to the attachment.
• Length - Note that a shaft that is too short or too long can cause problems.
