The wireless smoke detector operates on the photoelectric principle, using so-called optical sensors. The device's measuring chamber regularly emits light beams. In normal conditions, meaning without smoke, these outgoing light beams do not hit the lens in the measuring chamber. When smoke develops due to a fire, the rising smoke causes the emitted light beams to scatter and hit the photo lens. This triggers an 85 dB loud alarm from the smoke detector.

The test button allows you to check the functionality of the smoke detector. If the battery life is nearing its end, a warning sound will be emitted at regular intervals. Additionally, the smoke alarm complies with safety regulations and is certified according to DIN EN 14604: 2005/AC: 2008.
