The warning sign must be attached if

• A rear bicycle carrier (with or without load) is fitted, even if it is folded up
• An object (surfboard, etc.) is transported on the roof rack and protrudes over the rear bumper
• A load protrudes beyond the overall length of the vehicle (see entry in the vehicle licence) to the rear (protrusion to the front is not permitted).
