The Gardena set for controlling irrigation systems consists of three Irrigation Valves 9 V Bluetooth and a Valve Box V 3. The Irrigation Valves 9 V can be easily programmed from a distance of up to 10 m from the device via the Gardena Bluetooth app on a smartphone or tablet. Six different watering schedules are possible for each valve, for which time, duration and weekdays can be set. The Gardena smart Sensor accurately measures soil moisture over an extra-large sensor zone exactly where it matters, at the roots of the plants. Whether deep in lawns and flower beds or in shallower flower pots, the sensor ensures demand-oriented and efficient irrigation of the plants when combined with the Gardena smart Water Control or smart Irrigation Control from the Gardena smart system. The smart Sensor transmits the current status data to the Gardena Gateway via radio. If the sensor measurement indicates that the soil is sufficiently moist, the next watering is skipped. Additionally, the smart Sensor also measures the near-ground temperature. The flat sensor protrudes only 20 mm from the ground, allowing it to remain on the lawn where a robotic mower is in use without being damaged.

The quiet pump transports filtered water from any container to the plants. The 3-in-1 control unit with an integrated solar panel regulates the built-in pump, which feeds the micro-drip system, through 14 predefined watering programs and waters up to 20 plants with pressure-compensating inline drippers (up to 300 ml per dripper). Even with height differences, all plants receive the same optimal amount of water.
