I've got some conflicting information about this product: is it really possible to use it to restart a 2023 Toyota Yaris hybrid with a flat battery? Thank you for your advice.

Yes, that is possible. I've already had to try it out myself with my Toyota Prius.

It depends on your definition of "flat battery". If the battery is completely depleted, it is unlikely that you will be able to start the car with the booster. The minimum operating voltage for an ECU varies, but most ECUs are designed to function with a supply voltage of 9.5 V, or even 7 V in some cases. If the voltage drops under cranking below that level it will prevent start. Connecting the booster in that situation will be sufficient to start the car.
