In Anno Domini, precise knowledge is not what matters. After all, who really knows whether the term 08/15 became synonymous with poorly made mass products before or after the term butterine was replaced by margarine? Each player takes turns adding a new card to the chain of mostly quirky events, trying to be the first to get rid of all their cards.

If a player doubts that the event cards are in the correct order, the moment of truth arrives: the cards are flipped over, and the chronological sequence is checked against the given dates. If something is incorrect, the player who was just before them has to draw penalty cards. However, if everything is correct, the doubter must draw penalty cards.
