To play, place a carpet in front of you with the skull side facing up. Then take a stack of four identical cards into your hand, always keeping their front side hidden from the other players. Each player then places a pink or skull card face down on their stack, ending with the first player. The first player can either lay down a second card or make a challenge. If they do not lay down a second card, the other players can lay down a second card until one player challenges their opponents by announcing how many cards they want to reveal. The other players can then raise their bet or skip their turn. The highest bidder (the challenger) then reveals the announced number of cards one by one, starting with their own card. If a skull appears, their challenge is lost, and they lose one of their cards, which the opponent whose skull they revealed takes from their hand.
