The objective of the game is to move around the game board and collect game pieces under Helm's Deep that correspond to the symbols on the Sauron army cards, allowing players to defeat them and flip the card over. The first player to successfully flip all the cards wins! The game board features various action symbols, each triggering different actions. They may allow players to roll again, fall back on the board, or take game pieces from Helm's Deep. The collected markers must match the symbols on the battle cards. After that, these can be flipped over to get one step closer to victory.
