The Bresser Science TRM-301 is a top-class trinocular transmitted light microscope: it is characterized by excellent image reproduction, good ergonomics, high stability, and an appealing design. A particularly important feature of the TRM-301 is its ability to provide Köhler illumination. This optimal specimen lighting is exceptionally bright, cool (gentle on specimens), uniform, glare-free, and high in contrast, fully utilizing the performance of the microscope optics. Therefore, it represents the standard in scientific work and microphotography. The Köhler illumination is adjustable with the fixed built-in field diaphragm and the height-adjustable and centerable Abbe condenser (numerical aperture 1.25; with iris diaphragm).

Of course, the TRM-301 also includes other features typical of high-quality microscopes: a cross table that moves both horizontally and vertically with Nonius scales, ergonomic coaxial focusing controls (the fine focus achieves 200 µm per rotation), a continuously adjustable lamp dimmer, plan achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40x, 100x-oil spring), 10x wide-field eyepieces (in 30° inclined eyepiece tubes), adjustable inter-pupillary distance and diopter settings, as well as a photo tube.
