The powerful Panzerkampfwagen E-100 is a somewhat mysterious German prototype of a super-heavy tank developed in the late stages of World War II. The vehicle was designed as part of the development series program aimed at creating a range of armored vehicles of various types, possibly simplified and based on developed standards. Work that began in 1943 was already halted in 1944. The company Henschel attempted to continue its work on a limited scale. A hull was produced, on which a modified Maus tank turret was to be mounted according to plans from 1943. Further modifications were also considered to allow for the installation of even larger caliber guns. Captured by the Allies, the hull was sent to Britain for testing in 1945 and then scrapped. There are only a few photo and drawing documents of the E-100 tank. Due to its excellent parameters, the vehicle is very popular and often appears not only in literature but also in games and video materials.
