In 2023, SBB Cargo International received its first ETCS Baseline 3 Vectron locomotives from the leasing company Railpool. Both the Vectron locomotives from Railpool and the ETCS Baseline 3 locomotives are a novelty in Switzerland. A long-term lease agreement was signed for eight locomotives, which is why five of them feature the typical Alppiercer design of SBB Cargo International. The Railpool 193 110 "Goldpiercer" has now been decorated in reference to the previous Nightpiercer series for SBB Cargo International. The "Goldpiercer" is already the seventh special locomotive realized on a Vectron. The DACHINL locomotives will, like their predecessors (MRCE Vectron – also known as "Shadwopiercer"), be named after Swiss lakes. The choice to name the 193 110 "Zugersee" in a special design is not coincidental, as it is the 300th new locomotive from Railpool and therefore features subtle gold stripes.
