World champion pilot Daniel Aeberli collaborates with model airplane manufacturer FMS to develop the world's first scale performance foam glider, the ASW-17. True to the FMS spirit, no detail was overlooked in the design of the ASW-17. The FMS engineers made four costly tool adjustments to micro-tune the wing profile for perfect efficiency.

The wings, as well as the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, feature a plug-in structure. With a simple click, the wings connect to the fuselage with pinpoint precision—no screws or glue needed! The airplane can be assembled in just three minutes.

Like the 3000 mm Fox, the ASW-17 is equipped with a pre-installed carbon fiber spar that ensures wing rigidity during high G maneuvers. To achieve the same roll as the original aircraft, the ASW-17 was designed with a special CNC aluminum spar connector that allows the airplane to maintain its wing geometry during demanding flight maneuvers.

In terms of performance, a high-quality Hobbywing 40A ESC combined with a Predator 3541-750KV motor provides sufficient power with a 4S battery to execute most aerobatic maneuvers.
