By moving the tremolo lever (whammy bar), cool riffs are played. It simulates plucking and strumming sounds over printed strings. There are three play modes: Compose, Creative Play, and Free Play – for solos or group play. Controls for automatic melodies: with every key press, the correct melody or chord is played. Chord changes are made by pressing animal symbols.

There are four music modes: Discover Mode (play popular melodies and invent new rhythms), Performance Mode (layer riffs), Play Mode (add silly sounds), and Band Mode (jam with friends and family).
