This empowerment learning and coloring book celebrates what has been missing in many coloring books: diversity and the beauty of Afro hair. Children can learn about different hairstyles and create their own styles on paper. Various hair textures are combined with motor skills exercises for preschoolers, and there are many beautiful images to color: from the policewoman with an afro to the scientist in a hijab, to the princess who skateboards. Under the motto "Big Hair, Big Dreams," this lovingly designed learning and coloring book presents strong images for coloring, puzzles, and tracing. It aims to empower particularly Black children and Children of Color, while providing joy in coloring and learning for all children. The book includes initial motor skills and number exercises, as well as a variety of motifs that invite creative expression. The empowerment learning and coloring book was created by Joanna Peprah and Doreen Asenso, sisters from Cologne with an international family background from Ghana, Germany, and the Czech Republic. As children, they noticed that their life reality was rarely or never represented in books, films, and other media. This inspired them to create this empowerment learning and coloring book for children. Thus, the coloring book also features various motifs from West African history that continue to spark creativity and imagination in children today.
