The King’s Dilemma is the interactive legacy story of the Kingdom of Ankist. At the core of the game is an evolving stack of event cards. Each event occurs exactly once, so you must constantly face new challenges. Your decisions determine which of the branching storylines you will follow to one of the many possible endings. In each round, you draw a card from the dilemma stack and learn about the latest events in the land. Each event presents you with a choice that you must make together in the name of the king. You will discuss, negotiate, and ultimately make a decision that leads to new events and thus shapes the course of the story. However, each of you also represents the interests of your own house: a power struggle that can lead the kingdom to wealth and prosperity, but also to wars, famines, and uprisings. Every decision you make has consequences, and what is good for the kingdom as a whole may be bad for your family.
