Escape from New York

Escape from New York immerses you in the unique atmosphere of the cult film from 1982 by master director John Carpenter. All of Manhattan has become the largest prison in the world. You take on the roles of Snake Plissken, Brain, Maggie, and Cabbie, the iconic taxi driver. In a race against time, you explore the dangerous streets of New York, searching for the President, the crucial cassette tape, and a sketch of the bridge you want to escape over, all while avoiding being blown up by a mine. Work together or betray each other to achieve your own goals and escape New York alone. Whatever you decide, you must confront the gangs of Manhattan, led by the Duke of New York and two other fearsome foes, Romer and Slag.

As you take your turns, you gradually explore New York City to find the President, the cassette tape, and the sketch of a bridge. With each move, you can uncover more neighborhoods, slowly building the game board. You can also find new equipment to prepare for the fight. Vehicles are particularly useful, as they allow you to cover distances quickly – because you have limited time for your mission.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, the board game based on the cult film Escape from New York is being released by us, HeidelBÄRen, in German. The game is aimed at both fans of the film and anyone looking for an exciting board game adventure.
