The model is a replica of the Sd.Kfz. 305 Ambulance. The Opel Blitz Medium Truck was extensively used by the Bundeswehr on all fronts during World War II. Several thousand units were produced. They were also used as platforms for anti-aircraft weapons and tankers, with workshop and ambulance versions being manufactured. The Opel Blitz is robustly built, easy to maintain, and offers good off-road performance, making it invaluable in both the Russian and African campaigns.
