The display model is a replica of the F-5E aircraft of the Swiss Air Force. The F-5E Tiger II was developed in the early 1970s by the American company Northrop as a direct evolution of its predecessor and was characterized by higher performance, better maneuverability, and improved air-to-air capabilities. However, its true strength lay in the low production and maintenance costs compared to its effective combat capabilities. Due to its cost-performance ratio, the F-5E was chosen to equip the fighter squadrons of several air forces.

Among these countries, the Swiss Air Force deemed the F-5E suitable to meet the unique requirements of the Alpine nation. It was also produced under license in Switzerland. The F-5 Tiger II is equipped with two 20 mm cannons in the nose and can carry a variety of payloads on its hardpoints.
