The display model is a replica of the Sd.Kfz. 265 small tank command vehicle. The armored command vehicle Sd.Kfz 265 was developed to meet the needs of the commanders of the Wehrmacht tank divisions, allowing them to follow the tanks as closely as possible and better coordinate them on the battlefield. To create more space for the unit commander and his staff, the traditional rotating turret with the main armament was removed and a high fixed superstructure was installed. An additional radio antenna could be mounted on the hull to increase the range of radio communication. The tank command vehicle, produced during the second half of the 1930s, was used in combat during the Polish invasion in September 1939.
