The model is a replica of the Sd.Kfz. 184 Panzerjäger Elefant. These vehicles, which were equipped with a casemate-mounted gun, were extensively used by the German army during World War II. They provided covering fire for infantry and also served as tank destroyers. Several hundred of these specialized self-propelled weapons, built on a Pz.Kpfw. IV tank chassis, were produced in various versions, undergoing constant upgrades in armor and weaponry to keep pace with the development of enemy armaments.
