Product details

Transparent polyester iron-on film for covering model airplanes, roll size 200x64 cm.

The transparent KAVAN iron-on film is made from a very thin and lightweight polyester polymer with high strength, coated with a layer of heat-activated adhesive. It is supplied in rolls with a width of 64 cm and a length of 2 m. The adhesive side is protected by a transparent film.

The KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to model fuel, glow plug fuel, ignition fuel, and gasoline.

The film thickness is 50-60 µm (including adhesive) and the weight per unit area is 63-65 g/m².

The shrinkage of the film is 5-10%, evenly in all directions.

Common model building irons and heat guns can be used for ironing, with a working temperature range of approximately 95-180 °C. The optimal temperature for application to the structure is around 95-100 °C, the temperature for stretching is about 130-140 °C, and for heavily curved surfaces, it is 140-160 °C.
