The Keepdrum Samba Whistle SAB3R is a tri-tone whistle with a powerful samba sound. A samba whistle, also known as an apito, has two holes, unlike a regular whistle, which can be opened or closed individually or in combination to produce three different pitches. This allows for the playing of typical samba rhythms. The instrument is made from durable plastic and comes with a nylon string for hanging. While the samba whistle is not a typical percussion instrument, it is commonly used in Latin American rhythms. These whistles are also popular at festivals and during carnival celebrations.
