Product details
A dream comes true! The legendary Minimoa is back - as a model! The Minimoa was the world's first high-performance glider to be produced in series. From 1935 to 1939, 110 aircraft of this type left the Schempp-Hirth sports aircraft factory in Kirchheim-Teck. The model has been completely redesigned to a scale of 1:5 based on original plans from 1936. True to the original, the V-shape of the swept wing features slightly drooping outer wings. All dimensions, rib spacings, and skinning correspond to the original. Like the prototype, the model is constructed from wood. Later modifications made to the Minimoa, such as the dive brake and the enlargement of the vertical stabilizer, were not implemented on the model to maintain fidelity to the original.
