Designed for optimal flight characteristics, the weight, shape, and surface of the Rival balls have been specifically developed for the best performance. The surface, resembling that of a golf ball, reduces air resistance. Unlike a golf ball, however, the Rival balls are made of soft foam. Nevertheless, Rival blasters and accessories are not toys but sports equipment intended for older Nerf enthusiasts aged 15 and up.
