Not only do runners have to constantly think in the shadows to return from their jobs with credsticks in their pockets instead of bullets in their bodies. Players of the characters also face various decisions: Who do I want to play, why, and where? How do I connect my young decker with the old veteran of the group? How can I further develop my backstory?

For exciting stories in the Sixth World, well-designed adventures are needed, perhaps even entire campaigns and settings. It requires multifaceted antagonists, interesting locations, and maybe something different than a shootout in a shady alley.

Behind the Curtain is another in-house production and a rules book for Shadowrun 6 that contains hardly any rules. In addition to a few optional suggestions, it mainly offers tools for players and game masters: information on character development, group formation, adventure planning, alternative entrances, and campaign concepts. Do you need a quickly assembled NPC, an adventure on the fringes of the main quest, a diner menu, a daily host, or want to know what the guard just happened to have in his pocket or on his commlink?
