The sun is expanding and will soon incinerate all life on Earth. However, there is hope: a planet rich in plants, food, and oxygen is just a few light-years away, and space travel has finally advanced enough for humanity to relocate there. But there is little time left to evacuate Earth and establish a new thriving civilization. It is essential to identify the best settlement locations and the richest resource deposits in the new world.

A game of Evacuation begins with a fully functional economy in the Old World, which, just like the population, must be evacuated to the New World throughout the game. However, the more production facilities are evacuated, the lower the income from the Old World becomes. Since mixing resources from both worlds is not allowed, players must plan carefully to ensure they have enough resources for their next actions.

After receiving their income and feeding the population, players take turns performing actions. Not only is the action itself relevant, but also the power points generated, as these contribute to progress at the end of the round. The first player to increase the production of all resources in the New World to level 8 or higher and has at least three stages on the new planet wins. A point mode and various variants or modules add additional challenges and variety to the game.
