William Shakespeare (Author)
William Shakespeare was born in late April 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, the son of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He wrote about 38 plays, many of which are considered the most extraordinary works of drama ever produced, including Romeo and Juliet, Henry V, Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Macbeth, as well as a collection of 154 sonnets that are among the most profound and influential love poems in the English language. Shakespeare died in 1616 in Stratford.
