The V 160 010 of the DB in Era III is a prototype-accurate variant of the BR 216 by PIKO. The construction has precisely transferred the specific features of the prototype into the model. The V 160 and 216 series served as the express train locomotives for non-electrified routes in the 1960s and 1970s for the Federal Railway. The PIKO model combines prototype fidelity with excellent driving characteristics. These attributes are emphasized by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint job that is accurate down to the smallest detail. Modern LED technology serves as the basis for the red/white light change, as well as the switchable light functions that can be activated by retrofitting a digital decoder.
