Variant of the BR 181.2 in the design of DB AG in Era VI. The PIKO model of this important multi-system locomotive series showcases all relevant details of its prototype and impresses with its finest painting and printing, extra-mounted front handles and door handle rods, sharply engraved bogie covers, fine insulators, and delicately detailed pantographs. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The standard-installed cab and machine room lighting, as well as the direction-dependent tail lights, can be digitally controlled with a PluX22 decoder. A powerful five-pole motor with flywheels drives all four axles, ensuring excellent running characteristics. The PIKO model features two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high pulling power. The PIKO 181.2 is prepared for easy retrofitting with sound and the largest possible speaker.
