Prince Arwynn and Gwynn are teaching their friend Dario how to ride when two strangers gallop into the castle courtyard: Knight Renno and his squire Dolo. They claim to have been attacked by three Burnham Raiders during the night. However, thanks to his fencing skills, Renno was able to drive the attackers away. Arwynn is skeptical: aside from a bruise, Renno is unharmed, and the prince has never heard of this knight before. King John, on the other hand, celebrates him as a great hero and wants to host a feast in his honor.
