The Clydesdale, which originates from Scotland, is a cold-blooded horse breed, can be used as a draught animal and can often be seen at parades today. These horses pull tree trunks from the forest and are popular as mascots of breweries. The well-built Clydesdale reaches a height of 1.60 to 1.70 metres, in some cases up to 2.00 metres. The foals weigh about 90 kilos at birth and gain almost 2.5 kilos per day during the first months of life. Mares produce almost 27 kilos of milk a day to feed their foals. Despite its size, this breed is characterized by elegance and gentleness.
