Product details
When it was launched in 1934, the Citroën Traction was a real revolution. Front-wheel drive, self-supporting body (monocoque load-bearing structure manufactured in a single-shell design), hydraulic brakes, independent suspension: With this car, automobile designer André Citroën succeeds in surprising the automotive world and leaving the competition far behind. The vehicle set new standards in terms of roadholding and ride comfort. The large sedan went down in French history, as the Gestapo and later the partisans of the French Resistance liked to drive the car. Even today, the Citroën Traction is considered a symbol of freedom and peace, but due to its performance it often served as a getaway vehicle for gangster gangs, which made it a standard prop in relevant crime films and earned it the nickname "Gangster Citroën", which is still common today. Solido reproduces the Citroën on a scale of 1:18 in die-cast zinc. The model has a variety of loving details, such as opening doors and a working steering.
