The Sportime foosball rods Dragon are elastic, perfectly straight, and have a hardened, smooth chrome surface. In an elaborate production process, these Hurricane high-end foosball rods are made from steel tubes through many steps. Unlike solid rods or cheaper hollow rods, these rods maintain their straight shape. They can withstand loads of at least 60 kg and return to their original shape when bent.

Professional tournament foosball tables are always equipped with hollow rods of this type, as they do not deform as easily as solid rods. Another advantage is that hollow rods are lighter, allowing for faster gameplay.

The inner walls of the rods are made of 3.5 mm thick steel. The steel tubes are industrially chrome-plated multiple times and treated against corrosion. In testing laboratories, these rods withstand a 24-hour salt spray test.
