The inner walls of the rods are made of 2.2 mm steel. In testing laboratories, these rods withstand an 8-hour salt spray test. The kicker rods have a diameter of 15.8 mm, commonly referred to as 16 mm rods. Typically, foosball sliding bearings have a diameter of 16 mm, so the kicker rods are 0.2 - 0.3 mm thinner to ensure they run with enough support but minimal friction in the foosball table bearings. The rods have 4 mm holes for attaching the foosball figures. The holes are precisely drilled, accurately and parallel through the center of the rods, allowing the screws for the figures to be easily passed through the rods, ensuring the figures stand perfectly side by side.
