In a complex manufacturing process, these foosball rods are made from steel tubes through many steps. Unlike solid rods or cheaper hollow rods, these rods maintain their straight shape. They can withstand loads of at least 35 kg and return to their original shape when bent. Another advantage is that hollow rods are lighter than solid rods, allowing for faster gameplay. The inner walls of the rods are made of 3.5 mm thick steel. The steel tubes are industrially alloyed multiple times. In test labs, these rods withstand an 8-hour salt spray test. The foosball rods have a diameter of 15.8 mm, commonly referred to as 16 mm rods. Typically, foosball sliding bearings have a diameter of 16 mm, so these rods are 0.2 mm thinner to ensure they run with enough grip but as little friction as possible in the foosball table bearings. The rods have 4 mm holes for attaching the foosball figures. The holes are precisely drilled, spot-on, and parallel through the center of the rods. This allows the screws for the foosball figures to be easily passed through the rods, ensuring the figures stand perfectly side by side.
