The model kit is a replica of the Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-3. The development of the FW190 series began in the autumn of 1937 under the Reich Ministry of Aviation, which aimed to create a complement to the BF109 Messerschmitt. The engine used was the BMW 801 radial engine. The A-3 version utilized the improved 801 Dg engine, which delivered 1700 horsepower. Additionally, this variant was equipped with six cannons instead of the previous four. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with a high level of precision and detail fidelity.
