The display model is a replica of the German Panzerkampfwagen II. Mass production of the variant A of the tank began in 1937. By the end of production, 1,088 Panzer II tanks had been manufactured, with variant C featuring an improved suspension. The Panzer II led the surprise invasion of Poland and was the main tank in the assault against France. By the end of the war, they were successfully used for reconnaissance missions.
